Energy efficiency in local governments: summary of our technology breakfast

On May 8th, our offices at PCTCAN hosted a business breakfast with a clear objective: to open a space for dialogue and collaboration around one of the major challenges facing local governments today, energy efficiency.

In collaboration with our Energy Efficiency division, the event brought together public sector representatives and specialized companies to explore how to move toward smarter, more efficient, and more responsible energy management.

Public Energy: An Increasingly Strategic Challenge

During the session, some of the main challenges facing municipalities in managing their energy resources were addressed. In a context of growing budgetary pressure, environmental commitments, and citizen expectations, achieving efficient energy use is not only a technical issue but also a political and social priority.

Real Solutions for Real Challenges

In the keynote presentation, our colleague Ricardo Vela explained how digitalization and data analytics are helping to transform the way energy decisions are made in the public sector. He was joined by representatives from Soleil Market, who shared their experience in developing and implementing technological solutions tailored to the needs of municipal environments.

The solutions presented demonstrated how technology is leading advances in managing today’s energy environment. From monitoring platforms to predictive tools, these technologies enable data-driven decision-making and anticipation of deviations.
